Everybody likes enamel pin badges with obscure designs right? Finders Keepers finally commit some of their iconic artwork to enamel and metal in this exclusive and limited series. Behold “La Mouche”!
Inspired by the artwork for Jean-Claude Vannier’s seminal L’Enfant Assassin Des Mouches LP (Finders Keepers’ inaugural and perhaps favourite release!) this pin depicts a large life-size fly complete with a droplet of blood red jam dripping from it’s nose in keeping with the albums bizarre plot as written by Serge Gainsbourg in 1972.
Representing the album that many people consider to be Vannier’s stylistic sequel to Histoire De Melody Nelson this pin is possibly the archetypal symbol for all things Vannier and Finders Keepers and deserved medal for all our faithful champions. Sits singularly on the lapels of fine French dinner jackets. Or try four flies on grey velvet for all you clued-up Argento fans. Alternatively do as Vannier himself does and attach three pins to you bedroom curtains… Yes, these pins are as symbolic as they are versatile.
