As the label swiftly approaches it 100th official release Finders Keepers Records has decided to give some of their faithful friends, cohorts and collaborators an access all areas pass to the wider Finders Keepers family’s expansive sonic vault in this regular custom compiled, thematic, downloadable series aiming to give listeners, old and new, a deeper probe into the FK psyche.
As the inaugural release Finders Keepers has called upon one of it’s longing running cosmic compatriots Mr. Sean Canty, from the evolving conceptual electronic duo Demdike Stare. Having played a key role in the label since its inception Sean has worn the proverbial shoes of everything from compiler to DJ via drinking buddy and vinyl mule but first and foremost it’s his skills as an archivist and conceptual sound sequencer that lead to Sean launching this series while celebrating a season that pokes all of our collective penchants.
This calendar month in 2017 we will see a full moon, a Friday The 13th and Hallowe’en celebrations which provides a horrific hat-trick as the perfect basis for Mr. Canty to dig in to the darker side of the label in a self-initiated curation project that plays right into the hungry mouth of this man’s natural sensibilities.
