A rare opportunity to secure this very special European-only special edition of Finders Keeper’s inaugural release, Jean Claude Vannier’s L’Enfant Assassin Des Mouches. Handmade exclusively for Finders Keepers customers at Utrecht record fair (the biggest collectors’ market in Europe) using a limited source of vintage velveteen in two colour choices (Confiture De Framboise Red and Confiture De Rose Violet), stitched in matching thread and embossed with the exclusive FK L’Enfant Assassin Des Mouches jam jar logo, using an ultra heavyweight double blocking process.
This package includes the original 12″ vinyl album, fully revised extensive sleeve notes and the extra bonus 7″ single including two precious alternative versions from the original Studio Des Dames recording sessions. Not only is this the most complete combined version of the LP but it also stands as one of the label’s proudest packaging projects thus far (a more organic alternative the current tidal wave of colorised vinyl) for a classic, inimitable, milestone release wholly worthy of the best archival treatment. A very limited number of this release has been placed in the Finders Keepers time capsule for regular website visitors and are now available to purchase directly via this page. The ideal addition to any serious collect of art editions/European progressive pop and a damn fine gift for fans of this incredible artist.
As an extra special exclusive this package also comes with a very limited art print by Jean-Claude Vannier himself. This limited lithograph of an original handmade multimedia composition (based on a rare Jean-Claude Vannier musical arrangement) entitled Bordel is faithfully reproduced on high quality 280gsm archival museum board.
